This assignment was chosen to demonstrate culturally competant evidence based practice skills abaptable to meet the needs of individuals and groups with diverse backgrounds by utilizing understandable language and multi-culturally sensitive communication skills.  It is common knowledge that women have been traditionally marginalized and have a higher occurrence of abuse than their male counter parts.  

 I learned from this assignment to never enter a situation with preconceived ideas. The young woman that allowed me to interview her gave me invaluable information and I will always be indebted to her for her willingness to allow me a glimpse into her life. 

To be honest when I began this assignment I was not very comfortable with the population of homeless individuals.   I walked away with a better understanding of how women and the homeless population are oppressed. I chose to utilize ecological theory and feminist theory when discussing the obstacles that stand in this marginalized populations way in receiving their basic human rights. The information that I received completing this assignment will better allow me function effectively in a wide variety of settings and roles. 

I also included my senior e-poster that concerned the importance of family involvement  and geriatric residents living in long term care settings personal 

views of life satisfaction.
